Traveling from the East:
Here are directions to Elk Creek Outfitting in Heron, MT from Missoula, MT (approx. 3 hrs). In Missoula, take Interstate 90, then go onto Hwy 93N until you reach Ravalli. Then take Hwy 200W, drive past Paradise, Plains, Thompson Falls, Trout Creek and Noxon until you come to mile marker 4-look for the Heron turn-off sign. Turn south (left), follow the Heron road for a few miles; go over a tall bridge, two railroad tracks, and then take a left. Go 1 ½ miles. Then take the first right after the Heron Post Office. This is Elk Creek Rd. Stay on Elk Creek road for 4 ½ miles. You’ll come to a fork in the road with a big wooden sign saying “Elk Creek Outfitting,” take that right, then veer left and drive into our place. Welcome!
Traveling from the West:
Here are directions to Elk Creek Outfitting in Heron, MT coming from Coeur d’Alene, ID (Approx 2 hrs.). Turn off Interstate 90 in Coeur d’Alene, ID, turn onto Hwy 95. Follow this highway into Sandpoint, ID. After Sandpoint, turn onto Hwy 200 & follow into Montana (approx 40 miles). After crossing the Montana border, watch for the 3 mile marker on HWY 200. Look for the Heron turn off sign. Turn south (or right) onto Heron Rd. Follow the Heron road for a few miles; go over a tall bridge, two railroad tracks, and then take a left. Go 1 ½ miles. Then take the first right after the Heron Post Office. This is Elk Creek Rd. Stay on Elk Creek road for 4 ½ miles. You’ll come to a fork in the road with a big wooden sign saying “Elk Creek Outfitting,” take that right, then veer left and drive into our place. Welcome!

Tips if Flying
If flying, we recommend flying in a day early due to weather conditions, lost luggage, and other conditions beyond our control. If flying we will pick you up the day before your hunt begins between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. All guests flying in later than 1 p.m. on pick-up day will have to rent a car or make their own travel arrangements.
